Rebecca Anne Designs Embroidered Veils: Meet The Team

Rebecca Anne Designs is personally named because, when you work with me on your embroidered veil, it’s a personal process. From enquiry to postage, no part of your bespoke veil journey is outsourced; my small team and I handle every element right here in our Somerset studio. Whether we’re delivering to Derby or Dubai, Penzance or Paris, every tailor made bridal accessory is artisanally crafted from sketch to stitch by us. We have recently made an exciting change to our lineup of Veil Experts, so I want to introduce you to your embroidered veil team so you’ll know exactly what to expect when you get in touch.

The Embroidered Veil Team Has Grown

I have recently officially welcomed my husband Jeremy as a full-time member of Rebecca Anne Designs, and I’m so excited for the future and overwhelmed with the love and support we’ve received for the decision! Since the very beginning of the business he’s been an enthusiastic supporter, and even purchased my first ever embroidery machine which still remains in use today to help craft your embroidered veils. He’s always been there believing in me, cheerleading through the success and the tough times, and now he’s an integral part of the business.

As the business grew, the thought of employing a stranger and bringing them into my little veil bubble terrified me - so it made perfect sense to slowly integrate Jeremy! He has been working with me part-time for the last two years alongside his regular job, and brings a wonderful blend of creativity and practicality from his two decades of design and technology teaching experience. In that time he has had a huge impact on the business and your experience, crafting the bespoke packaging each veil arrives in, servicing the embroidery machines to keep them running like butter, and creating many a spreadsheet to streamline my processes and tinker with the website! Oh, and did I mention he makes a great cup of tea?

Inside the workroom, Rebecca and Jeremy are making an embroidered veil. Rebecca holds the tulle and Jeremy is snipping.

Now our team has grown I can dedicate more time to each of my wonderful brides, and open up new availability each month to craft even more bespoke embroidered veil designs. Together we are adding even more of our love and attention into every veil, and the passion we share for Rebecca Anne Designs and each other will only make each design even more special.

What does this mean for your bespoke embroidered veil journey? Will you still be working with Rebecca?

Rest assured, when you go on your custom veil journey it’s still me you’ll be talking to and meeting with, and me who will design your unique veil artwork. In essence, nothing outwardly changes for my you, my brides. If anything, any changes will be positive, enabling me to dedicate more time to each of you individually, take on more design projects than ever before, and explore new techniques to offer new design elements for your veils. I’m currently working on new veil edgings and bespoke 3D applique techniques…coming soon, watch this space!

Here’s an overview of who does what in our embroidered veil studio:

First enquiry:

Your enquiry via my contact form will be picked up and responded to by me, Rebecca. We’ll begin to talk about all your ideas, budget and what you’d like to get out of our work together. If you’d like to meet over a Zoom call, I offer 30 minute sessions.

Designing:

Me again! We’ll have already agreed on a concept for your design, and once your slot in my schedule is secured with a deposit I can get to work. It’s still me who will work on your one of a kind embroidery design, hand sketching and test embroidering it for your approval before the making begins. I use my fashion design background and years of experience to hand draw your design, digitise it for precision, and then stitch.

Around the workroom:

Jeremy is super organised and the studio has never looked better! Lots of the things I will use to craft your embroidered veils have had his golden touch - he made bespoke tables for the embroidery machines and custom hooks for my tools, and he continues to tweak and tinker to make things ever smoother.

Stitching:

My trusty embroidery machines will stitch your bespoke designs in high quality thread, with an exquisite finish. Jeremy ensures the machines continue to run smoothly and efficiently, maintaining the delicate and detailed end product we have become so known for.

Finishing:

A surprise third team member appears at this point in the design process! My wonderful mum is an invaluable part of the Rebecca Anne team, adding a final finishing flourish to your embroidered veil. We share the responsibility of those finishing touches so we can get your accessories posted to you as promptly as possible - hand-gathering the delicate tulle, expertly stitching it onto my signature gold combs, and snipping and trimming any loose threads or untidy ends from the machine. Mum’s attention to detail is unmatched, and it must be where I get my fussiness for precision finish from!

Packing and Posting:

The bespoke packaging every veil is posted in was all brought together by Jeremy, and more and more of my brides comment on how lovely it is to receive their accessories so nicely wrapped. I can’t wait to see what else he’s going to put together now he’s a full-time member of the team!

Behind The Scenes:

There’s a lot of work involved in running a business of any kind, and I’m grateful to have Jeremy’s support in some of the areas that take me away from the creative jobs I love to do. He will be managing things like our accounts and updating website content, as well as providing a sounding board and voice of reason for any and all new ideas! Meanwhile, I can focus on continually evolving and developing my designs, process and new capsule collections, and working closely with each of my brides to produce the most beautiful wedding day accessories.

The team making your embroidered veil

I really wanted to write this blog to show you that, although our little team has expanded, the experience of having a bespoke embroidered veil made by Rebecca Anne Designs is still very much a personal one. Your veils are tailor made, one of a kind accessories that you can’t find replicated anywhere else, and made with love, the deepest form of friendship and strong family ties woven into every bit of fabric. The essence of Rebecca Anne Designs is fashion-forward bridal infused with a strong sense of togetherness, and that will never change!
