If you’re wondering how much an embroidered wedding veil costs, personalised embroidered veils by Rebecca Anne Designs start from £375. Statement, couture-level designs with large-scale bespoke artwork, complex placements or extensive embroidery can range up to £3,000+.

The final price depends on the length and width of the veil, the scale and complexity of the embroidery, the placement of each element and your chosen edge finish. Every veil is individually designed and made to order in my Devon studio, so the price reflects both the finished piece and the collaborative design process behind it.

In this guide, I’ll explain what influences the cost of an embroidered wedding veil, what is included and how my five design levels can help you find the right starting point for your ideas and budget.

Why Rebecca Anne Designs Veils Are Uniquely Yours

Rebecca Anne Designs veils are distinctively luxurious, crafted through a blend of artistic hand-drawing and precise digital embroidery. Unlike mass-produced options, each design is digitised with care and then embroidered onto soft, high-quality tulle, making your veil a precious heirloom designed to last beyond your wedding day. But this is more than just a “click and buy” experience. It’s a collaborative journey where I design with you, bringing your vision to life through every detail we discuss.. Think of it as a wearable work of art – an elegant piece meant to tell your story and evoke memories every time it’s seen.

What Affects the Cost of an Embroidered Wedding Veil?

Veil Length, Width and Style

The dimensions of your veil affect the amount of tulle required and, in some cases, the length of the embroidery or edge finish. However, a longer veil is not automatically the most expensive. A cathedral-length veil with discreet initials may cost less than a shorter veil featuring extensive bespoke artwork.

Embroidery Scale and Complexity

The scale and complexity of the embroidery usually have the greatest influence on price. A small arrangement of initials and a wedding date requires less design and stitching time than a sweeping botanical border, longer verse or large-scale original illustration.

The number of embroidered components, their placement and the level of detail involved will help determine which design level your veil falls within.

Personalisation and Original Artwork

Personalisation can include names, dates, meaningful words, poetry, handwriting or illustrative motifs connected to your story. Some designs use a single subtle detail, while others bring several elements together within a completely original composition.

The price is influenced by the number, scale and complexity of these elements, rather than personalisation being charged at one fixed rate.

Veil Edge Finish

Your chosen edge finish can also affect the final cost. A clean cut edge is included as standard, while more decorative finishes are priced from:

Picot edge: £50

Satin ribbon edge: £125

Lace bottom edge: £75

Full lace edge: £175

These are starting prices, as the final amount will depend on the veil dimensions and the particular ribbon or lace selected.

How Wedding Veil Prices Vary with Design Levels

The price of your veil is as unique as the design itself, so I quote individually based on each bride’s desires and level of detail. But, for a helpful starting point, I’ve created a Price Guide showcasing Design Levels 1 through 5, each with its own range of detail and intricacy.

Design Level 1: Delicate Details

From £375 to £495

Subtle, understated embroidery designed to feel refined and effortless. This level is perfect for brides wanting something personal but barely there.

Designs may include initials, names and/or a wedding date in a discreet fingertip or minimal placement, with the option to include small illustrative motifs around the text.

Design Level 2: Artistic Adornments

From £550 to £695

Elegant embroidery with a little more freedom in wording, scale and layout. This level is ideal if you would like a touch more expression while keeping the overall design delicate.

Designs may include names, dates, a short phrase or meaningful words, with the option for larger motifs or decorative floral elements.

Design Level 3: Embroidered Elegance

From £795 to £1,200

Thoughtful, design-led embroidery in which text and illustration come together in a refined and intentional way.

This level may include longer prose, poetry, readings or personal wording, combined with medium-scale embroidery and more of my signature illustrative detailing. The placement will often build into a carefully composed hem or balanced focal area.

Design Level 4: Stylish Statements

From £1,295 to £1,750

Artwork-led embroidery with personal details thoughtfully woven into the design. This level is perfect for brides wanting a confident, design-forward veil where the embroidery plays a leading role.

It may include larger-scale artwork, more complex layouts embellishing the hem or veil edge and, depending on the design and veil dimensions, organza appliqué.

Design Level 5: Couture Creations

From £1,995, with most designs falling between £1,995 and £3,000

This is the most extensive design level, with statement, couture-scale artwork forming the foundation of the veil.

Designs may include complex bespoke illustration, multiple embroidered components, layered or immersive placements, a complete border or an all-over scatter. Organza appliqué and advanced construction techniques may also be incorporated.

Exceptionally complex couture commissions may exceed £3,000 and will be quoted individually.

Once I understand which details matter most to you, I can recommend the most suitable design level and suggest ways to shape the design around your preferred budget. If you are considering several ideas, I can also explain how changes to the scale, placement or amount of embroidery would affect the final price.

What’s Included in the Price of a Rebecca Anne Designs Veil?

The price covers the creation of your complete veil, rather than an embroidery service added to a veil purchased elsewhere.

Your veil includes:

• A veil made to your chosen length and width to complement your dress

• Original hand-drawn artwork where your design requires it

• The conversion of your artwork or wording into embroidery

• A digital veil design sent to you for feedback

• A test stitch posted to UK clients

• Photographs of the paper templates positioned on your veil for approval

• Embroidery completed in my Devon studio

• Careful hand-finishing of the completed veil

Every stage is considered collaboratively, giving you the opportunity to see and approve the important design decisions before your veil is embroidered.
