Frequently Asked Questions

How do I order a Rebecca Anne veil?

You can order designs from the collection via the website. Once you have placed your order I will contact you to congratulate you on your veil choice and discuss when you would like to accept delivery of your veil.

When will my veil be delivered?

A lead time on an embroidered design from my website is 6-8 weeks. But, typically, my veils are delivered approximately 2 months before the wedding date unless you would prefer the veil to be delivered 6-8weeks from order date. I found many brides ordering far ahead didn’t want the worry of storing their veil. Delivery nearer the wedding date also  gives you time to try it on in your dress fittings and begin seeing your finished bridal style coming together. However, if you would like to receive delivery earlier/later, this is of course open to discussion.

We have decided to get married very soon and I would love to order a veil, but is there time?

I always try to leave time in my monthly production schedule to accommodate rush orders.  Please email me if you think you need a veil much quicker than the standard lead time of 6-8 weeks to discuss delivery dates and additional charges. Don’t ask - don’t get!

Do you offer payment options?

When going down the bespoke route, I ask for a 50% deposit once we have decided on your design together.

If you are ordering designs from the website you are able to pay in full. However, if you would prefer to pay in installments I am always happy to accommodate this to ensure you have secured your veil design for the lead time you desire. Please feel free to contact Rebecca on or use the contact form to discuss a personalised payment plan.

What lengths do veils come in?

As standard, I offer the following lengths.

Elbow length: 28 “

Fingertip length: 44 “

Chapel length: 72 “

Cathedral length: 99 “

However, veils can be made to your own specification to ensure a perfect fit with your bridal outfit. Depending on the design, there may be an additional charge.

To measure your personalised length, use a tape measure to calculate from where you will wear your comb in your hair to the finished length of the veil - it’s a good idea to get someone else to help you if you can! If you have seen a veil in the collection that you would like to order but would like it in a different length, please contact Rebecca directly on or use the website contact form.

I have recently introduced the service of loaning plain sample veils with the traditional lengths embroidered onto the veil for you to try on with your wedding outfit. Please contact me if you would like to arrange this. A small charge applies for this service and is refundable against your final veil purchase.

I know which design I would like to order but I don’t know the length that would suit my dress?

The designs on the website are set to lengths per design for ease of ordering. However, as all the veils are made-to-order, you are welcome to order in an alternative or bespoke length - additional charges apply on some designs.

Having worked in bridal boutiques for a number of years, I have styled many brides so I am always happy to advise you and suggest the length of veil that could work best with your wedding outfit and the way you want to feel on your wedding day.

Will the tulle match my dress?

I use a light ivory tulle which works beautifully with most dresses. If you have a white dress or a champagne dress, you may want to check a sample of my tulle (along with a lighter/darker option) to see how they look against your dress fabric. Please contact Rebecca directly to arrange this.

I love one of your designs but would like to make a small change. Is this possible?

Of course! My veils are made-to-order and are designed for personalisation. Whether you would like to remove the butterflies on the Wildflower Meadow, or add your initials and wedding date to the Celestial Cosmos, I love making custom tweaks to make your veil YOURS. Please email before completing an order online to discuss and find out about any additional charges.

How long does an entirely bespoke veil take?

Understandably, the lead time on a bespoke veil is longer than a design from my collections. It really does depend on the intricacy of the design and could be anywhere from 6 weeks to 16 weeks. The lead time on your bespoke veil is something we will discuss when design ideas are shared but this is why it is always best to begin the process as early as possible.

How much does an entirely bespoke veil cost?

Again, this really depends on the intricacy of your design and how much embroidery there is. Generally bespoke creations can range from £300 - £600 upwards. I am always happy to design to your personal budget so if you have a figure in mind don’t hesitate to let me know.

How does the bespoke veil process work?

Once you have contacted me to enquire about a bespoke veil design, we can either converse over email or I am happy to offer a free 30 minute initial design consultation via video call. We would use this time to discuss your ideas.

It is always lovely if you can share as much of your wedding styling as possible so that I can envisage the final look and your own vision. I love to know where you are getting married (is it a grand venue or a small garden wedding?), the style of wedding and how many guests you’re expecting (is it a big affair or an intimate elopement?) and most importantly… The Dress. It is so important that your veil complements your bridal style so I love to see photos of what you’ll be wearing on the big day and use this for design inspiration and also to help you decide on veil style/length.

Once we have decided on your design together, I ask for 50% deposit to secure your space in my production schedule. When embroidery designing has commenced, you will receive a sample swatch in the post of some of the stitching to continue the excitement for your entirely bespoke veil design.

You will receive updates throughout the process - I love keeping into touch with my brides and involve them in the creative journey as much as possible. Once your veil is complete, the remaining balance will be due ready to send to your desired address.

How will my veil be packaged?

Your veil will be carefully wrapped in acid-free tissue paper and beautifully packaged in a gift box tied with a ribbon.

How will my veil be sent?

Your veil is posted using a tracked and signed-for service so you are able to follow its progress on its way to you. Although these delivery times are not guaranteed - UK delivery typically takes 2-3 days.

Do you deliver outside of the UK?

Yes, Rebecca Anne can deliver worldwide. Please contact Rebecca directly to discuss your destination shipping charges and receive a personalised invoice for your veil order. You may be required to pay customs charges once your parcel arrives at its country of destination.

Where can I try on Rebecca Anne veils?

Rebecca Anne has a number of stockists that sell veils from the online collections. You can find them on our Stockist web page. Please contact them individually for information about pieces they currently have in stock. Stockists can borrow samples from Rebecca Anne of designs they don’t have but there may be an additional charge to get these in for you to try on - please contact them individually for information on this. Although entirely bespoke veils cannot be purchased through stockists, you are able to add personalised details to the designs they carry.

Where is my veil made?

All Rebecca Anne veils are designed and handmade by Rebecca herself in her Somerset (UK) studio.
